The 1 June 2025 major revision superseded the 10 December 2017 edition, folding in years of Army directives and trimming the common mandatory training list. DA PAM 600-25 lays out the professional development path for NCOs by career management field and grade: schools, assignments, and self-development milestones. Soldiers use it to plan the next five years instead of the next five months. The September 2023 edition supersedes the December 2018 version.
