The Soldier is flagged, which suspends favorable personnel actions including promotion, schooling, and reenlistment. The Soldier is referred for nutrition counseling and a medical evaluation, weighed and assessed monthly to measure progress, and counseled in writing. Failure to make satisfactory progress, or repeated enrollment, can lead to separation.

FM 7-22, Holistic Health and Fitness. It describes the H2F system and the five readiness domains: physical, nutritional, mental, spiritual, and sleep. FM 7-22 is the training system. ATP 7-22.01 carries the testing procedures.
